Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of PaterApp.ai. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use PaterApp.ai.
1. About PaterApp.ai
PaterApp.ai is an AI-native platform designed to help fathers manage family life — including gift planning, calendar management, daily insights, and a community of like-minded dads. The service is operated by:
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate information when registering
- One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans is not permitted
- PaterApp.ai is currently available by invitation or waitlist approval only. Access is granted at our discretion.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must notify us immediately at hello@paterapp.cloud if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from unauthorised use of your account.
4. Free trial & subscriptions
Free trial
- Approved waitlist users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features
- No payment card is required to start a trial
- At the end of your trial your account moves to the free tier unless you subscribe
Paid plans
- Pro: £9.99 per month
- Family: £19.99 per month
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Cancellation & refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law
- Consumer rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply where relevant
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use PaterApp.ai to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use the AI agent to generate content that is unlawful, abusive, or harmful to others
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features of the service
- Resell or sublicense access to PaterApp.ai without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without notice or refund.
6. AI features & limitations
PaterApp.ai uses AI models (including Claude by Anthropic) to power its agent, insights, and recommendations. You acknowledge that:
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances
- You should not rely solely on AI-generated advice for important decisions (medical, legal, financial)
- PaterApp.ai does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content
- Conversations with the agent may be reviewed by us in anonymised form to improve the service
7. Your content
You retain ownership of any information you enter into PaterApp.ai (profile data, children's details, memories). By using the service you grant PaterApp.ai a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train AI models without your consent.
8. Intellectual property
PaterApp.ai and all related trademarks, logos, software, and content are owned by PaterApp.ai Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our brand or intellectual property except as strictly necessary to use the service.
9. Third-party integrations
PaterApp.ai integrates with third-party services including Google Calendar. Your use of those integrations is also governed by the relevant third party's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any information provided by the AI will be accurate or complete
- Defects will be corrected
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PaterApp.ai disclaims all implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaterApp.ai Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the total fees you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PaterApp.ai Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of the service in a manner not permitted herein.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to PaterApp.ai at any time if:
- You breach these Terms
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the service
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. On deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to the service & Terms
We may modify the service or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be communicated by email or in-app notice with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must stop using the service and may delete your account.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PaterApp.ai shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
